Xeikon Print Operator, 3rd Shift (8 hours)

Summary

Must be able to complete print jobs independently and maintain appropriate set-up to start-up time ratio.

Job Duties:
• Perform test such as temperature, relative humidity, material density, and moisture tests for proper UV drying of ink
• Perform routine operator level maintenance and preventative maintenance on printer
• Load appropriate digital files according to job specifications
• Adjust web tensions and toner flow
• Perform print registration
• Calibrate printer to ensure inputs and selections made on the printer are working properly
• Work as an offset printer operator when required
• Must be able to perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
• Self-motivated and able to work in an unsupervised area. Must be able to manage time efficiently and adhere to production schedule.
• Good working knowledge of computers. Will need to learn a new software that is used to schedule the work and monitor performance of printer
• Meticulous to detail. Visual inspection of art / print quality as well as able to use various inspection devices / tools
• Able to discern differences in color shades
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Flexible in work assignments and able to cross train on multiple machines
• Working knowledge of basic tools and mechanical aptitude. Must be able to perform operator level maintenance and preventative maintenance on printer.

Preferred:
• 3+ years’ experience in Digital Color Printing or Off Set Printing
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office with particular attention to Excel
• Background in quality control
